plum jam - pekmez od šljiva



This year I was cooking 15 kg plums,
it meant that I have to cook all at once,
if I wish not spend hours and hours beside the stove,
the solution was „katlanka.“
   
for 15 kg plums I needed:

1 kg of sugar
1 tablespoon cloves
1 flat tablespoon cinnamon,
2 tablespoons vanilla essences Dr Oetker,
2 bottles of rum flavors Dr. Oetker



preparation:

1. I washed the plums,
    separated the kernels and
    add sugar,
    all stir well, cover and leave overnight in a cool.

2. next day I lit a fire in „katlanka“,
    add cloves to plums.  
    counting from the time when started boiling,
    I cooked the plums 1 1/2 hour on high heat constantly stirring,
    taking care not to burn.

3. half of the amount of the plum jam I poured in bottles
    and covered with blankets gradually to cool.

4. in the second half of the plum jam I poured rum and cinnamon and 
    cook next 5 minutes,
    poured into bottles and 
    also covered with blankets gradually to cool down.

    now I have a great plum jam.




                                               
Ove godine ja sam kuvala 15 kg pekmeza od šljiva,
to je značilo da moram sve kuvati odjednom ako neću da provedem sate pored štednjaka,
rešenje je bila katlanka

na 15 kg šljiva ja sam stavila:

1 kg šećera
1 velika kašika klinčića,
1 ravna velika kašika cimeta,
2 kašike esencije vanile Dr Oetker,
2 flašice ukusa ruma Dr Oetker

priprema:

1. trebalo je oprati šljive i povaditi koštice
    dodati šećer,
    sve dobro izmešati i ostaviti poklopljeno preko noći na hladnom.

2. sutradan sam zapalila vatru u katlanki,
    dodala klinčiće i cimet.
    računajući od trenutka kada je provrilo,
    kuvala sam 1 1/2 sat
    na jakoj vatri uz stalno mešanje,
    pazeći da ne zagori.

3. sipala sam u flaše pola količine pekmeza od šljiva i
    zatrpala ćebadima da se postepeno ohladi.

4. u drugu polovinu sam sipala cimet i rum i kuvala loš pet minuta,
    sipala u flaše i pokrila.

    pekmez je odličan.
